Ware Oil & Supply Co, INC was established in 1954. Ware Oil ran one two bay service station, and employed five people, three in the office, and two truck drivers. In March of 1954, Ware Oil signed their first master contract with Phillips 66 Petroleum Company, and covered the territories of Taylor, Madison, and Lafayette counties. As Ware Oil began to grow, Don Everett began taking on retail, commercial, and industrial customers, selling gasoline, diesel, and lubricants. The company began to build a reputation on customer service, Don Everett always had what the customer needed and was able to supply in a timely fashion. As the 1980's rolled in, the company was excelling, Phillips 66 came down to Perry FL, and did a write up about Ware Oil for the fall Phillips Petroleum National Magazine of 1985. The article was about Don Everett SR, and his two sons Don Everett JR, and Doug Everett taking over the fuel and lubricants market in north Florida, Ware Oil had most of the diesel fuel, and Oil business from Timber company's, aluminum fab businesses, paper mills, sawmills, trucking businesses, and other industries in the surrounding counties. Since then, Ware Oil has been featured in several petroleum magazine articles.
On into the 90's and 2000's, our company ventured into several industries, selling pool supplies, paper goods, fire extinguishers, Ice business, and janitorial supplies. Ware Oil was operating 25 convenience stores in house, and supplying 95 convenience store sites throughout the big bend, panhandle, and south Georgia. The company really started to see growth in the panhandle market, so much that Ware Oil decided to start a new division of the company, located in Panama City, FL, for the expansion of the commercial fueling business. The company put a couple bobtail fueling trucks in place, and took on quite a few big accounts. After several years of commercial fueling in the Panama City market, Ware Oil decided to sell off the business. The corporation wanted to put the focus on acquiring real estate, building new retail convenience stores, buying C-stores, and growing dealer accounts. The company got into the food service business, installing deli franchises in C-stores, and operating multiple quality food franchises such as Subway, Hardees, Arby's, and Huddle House. Don Everett SR had his hands in many baskets and was a proven professional at his craft he had a long stretch of great years. He was always "Beating the bushes" as he would say, growing the business and helping customers be successful in the industry, and guiding them down the right avenues.
Don Everett is retired officially now. He is followed by his two sons, and grandson. Don Everett JR which is now the President, Doug Everett is Senior Vice President, and grandson Daniel Everett is now the Marketing Rep.
